About the Role
Spectrum Support Services is looking for Instructional Aides, Paraprofessionals, and Teacher Assistants who want to make a genuine difference in the lives of students with special needs across Bergen County, NJ.
In this role you'll work alongside teachers and therapeutic staff to support students with developmental, intellectual, and behavioral disabilities in school settings — providing the direct, consistent support that helps students engage, grow, and succeed.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting students with special needs in classroom and school environments across Bergen County
Assisting with personal care needs as required
Working collaboratively with teachers, BCBAs, and therapeutic staff
Following individualized education plan (IEP) directives and supporting student goals
Completing required documentation and maintaining accurate records
Requirements
High school diploma, college credit preferred but not required.
Demonstrates concern and compassion for working with individuals with special needs.
Demonstrates the ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Demonstrates the ability to follow the directives of related personnel.
Assists with personal care needs.
Completes CPR/First Aid certificate
Completes required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
